Jaguar Skull and Bird

This strange red bird is perched on a jaguar skull. Images were culled from the pages of the May 2001 issue of National Geographic and incorporated into an original watercolor. It was the first of a series of paintings and prints inspired by the images from monthly issues of National Geographic corresponding to the birth months of my loved ones. The bird and skull became my logo. Posters and T-shirts are also available of this design.
